Happy Thanksgiving everyone! We are currently visiting my parents and celebrating Thanksgiving with them in the north woods! It snowed a bit today and oh, was it ever beautiful! The kids ran around outside, decked out in blaze orange (it is hunting season!) and had such a good time. My Mom is cooking like crazy and I have been trying to help as much as I can. With a 5 lb weight restriction, I think I may be more of a hinderance than a help!
The car ride was long, mostly because of my neck brace and not being very mobile. We had to stop a few times to just get out and walk around a little, which was good because the weather was mild and little Dewey needed a break too!
My sister in law and Em stayed in Kenosha and they are celebrating with Grandma Char, as usual, but we miss them here. Emma, I think Collin especially misses you! He has been helping a little in the kitchen and he assembled the corn casserole all by himself. The little budding chef made such a mess, he needed to take a shower and change his clothes. There was more corn casserole on him and on the counter than in the casserole dish! Needless to say, he is very proud and I am sure it will taste great and he will be smiling ear to ear when everyone digs in!
May you all have a wonderful day and enjoy good food and good company and be thankful for your many blessings!
